Well we’ve certainly been very lucky with the perfect weather we’ve had at Happy Valley Tennis Club over the past week. After such an amazing week of tennis, I have some thank yous I would like to make.
Firstly, to Happy Valley Tennis Club Event Managers, Simon Longhurst and Sue Hoppo. It is your dedication, determination and enthusiasm that makes this event a reality. As Tournament Directors, we understand the months and hours of work that go in to making this event possible and for that we thank you.
To Happy Valley Tennis Club’s 100+ volunteers, thank you for all of your assistance throughout the week. From Player Services, Court Services, Transport Services, Canteen staff, stringer and various other volunteers, it has been great to work with you all again and we thank you for your support.
To our hard working team of staff and officials who work behind the scenes to make this tournament possible…Challenger Tour Supervisor – Scott Ray, Tennis Australia Tournament Operations Coordinator – Jason Simmons, Physiotherapists – Leisa Stringer and Cara Gleeson, Massage Therapist – Matt Robinson, IT team – Tyler Soste and Nick Youl, Accreditation Manager – Maggie Kerr, Chief of Officials – Craig Glennon, Chair Umpires and Line Umpires.
