The 2017 School Sport Australia Tennis Championships (Jack Pizzey Cup) will be held at Shepparton, VIC from Saturday 29 April to Sunday 7 May.

Selection information
Students must be 18 years and under as of 31 May 2017.
Students interested in competing at the School Sport Australia Tennis Championship (Jack Pizzey Cup) , should be aware of the following;
- SSSSA and Tennis SA will be entering a team that consists of 8 female and 8 male players
- Selection will be based predominantly upon the best nominated players according to their end of February Australian Ranking. These rankings are due to be released on Thursday 9 March
- Students are required to participate in both singles and doubles and attend an information session and team training
- Students will be notified of their selection or non-selection by Tuesday 14 March.
Australian Raking Points
Tennis Australia Australian Ranking points will be allocated at the championship as follows;

Additional AR points will be awarded based on the following;
- Singles round robin win – 4.0 points.
- Double and/or mixed doubles round robin win – 1.5 points
Note – AR points accrued at the Pizzey Cup will count as one singles result
Championship costs
An individual itemised account will be provided to every athlete selected in an interstate team. Levies, food, travel and accommodation will be included on the invoice. Uniforms will be a separate online process where payment is made directly to the supplier. These items are estimated to be approximately $2000 for this championship.
A deposit of $250 is required by Monday 27 March and full payment is required by Friday 14 April.
Championship expectations
The student agrees to attend the competition for the full duration including the opening and closing ceremonies and the educational excursion.
