Tennis Seniors SA (South Parklands Hockey and Tennis Centre) and Littlehampton Tennis Club (Anembo Park Sports and Recreation Association) are big winners from the recent announcement by State Government declaring the successful applications Female Facilities Program. Thirteen South Australian sporting clubs will share in $4 million worth of grants to upgrade and build female change rooms as part of Round 1 of the program.

The South Parklands Hockey and Tennis Centre, the home for Tennis Seniors SA, has received $170,479 to deliver an internal upgrade and refurbishment of existing facilities to convert the Kurrangga Park (Park 20 in Adelaide’s South Parklands) facility to be female friendly, while the Anembo Park Sports & Recreation Association, which includes the Littlehampton Tennis Club, will receive $473,000 to deliver a new female friendly change room facility.

The Female Facilities Program helps eligible organisations to develop sustainable, functional, inclusive and fit for purpose female change room facilities that meet the current and future needs of the South Australian sporting community.
