Day 3 saw the sun shine over the grasscourts of Berri for the 2017 12/u and 14/u Australian Grasscourt Championships.
In the 12/u Boys Doubles, the top seeded pairings of [1] Jeremy Jin (NSW)/Owen Yu-Hao (QLD) and [2] Max Morton (Vic)/Edward Winter (SA) have made their way through their first two rounds with straight sets victories. It was a similar story for the girls, with [1] Catherine Aulia (NSW)/Hana Sonton (QLD) and [2] Jessica-Jade Haylo/Cassidy Mataia (QLD) also posting convincing wins.
In the 14/u Boys Doubles, [1] Chen Dong/Philip Sekulic (QLD) and [2] Enzo Aguiard/Cooper White (Vic) made their way through to the semifinals and will be joined by the South Australian pairings of Alex Carroll/Patrick Douglas and Terry Karahalios/Edward Vo. In the girls, South Australia has guaranteed finalists, with Cydney Crumbie/Tully Richter to take on Jasmine Adams/Alana Repanich in the first semifinal, with [2] Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz/Maggie Pearce (SA) also recording solid wins.
Day 4 will see South Australia’s Doni Gashi, Edward Winter, Maggie Pearce, Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz, Alana Repanich and Callum Gale all take part in main draw quarterfinals with matches starting at 9.30 am, followed by main draw doubles semifinals from 12.00 noon.
