One of the world’s most successful doubles pairings of all time, Bob and Mike Bryan, are set to headline the WTC City of Playford Kids Tennis Day at the City of Playford Tennis International on Sunday 7 January.
The Bryan brothers spent a record 438 weeks as the co-world No.1s in doubles, capturing 114 titles in 169 finals.
Together the brothers have won 16 Grand Slam titles and are the only team in the Open Era to have held all four Grand Slam titles at the same time.
The WTC City of Playford Kids Tennis Day to be held from 9.30 am-10.30 am at the brand-new $8.9 million Playford City Tennis Centre, followed by the men’s and women’s singles finals of the City of Playford Tennis International.
“We are thrilled that the Bryan brothers will be joining us on finals day at the City of Playford Tennis International,” said Tennis SA CEO Steven Baldas.
“We encourage all kids to visit the WTC City of Playford Kids Tennis Day for their opportunity to meet Bob and Mike, as well as watch some fantastic tennis on Centre Court afterwards,” Baldas added.
“This is a major coup for the City of Playford and we couldn’t be more excited to be welcoming one of the most successful doubles pairs of all time to visit our region,” said Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty.
Following their appearance at the City of Playford Tennis International, the Bryan Brothers will take their place in Team USA alongside legend Andre Agassi and up-and-coming youngster Frances Tiafoe at the World Tennis Challenge to be held at Memorial Drive from 8 to 10 January 2018.
