Congratulations to Renmark Tintra Lawn Tennis Club’s John Pick for being named Citizen of the Year in Renmark Paringa Council’s 2018 Australia Day Awards.
John Pick has dedicated many hours to local tennis and was instrumental in getting the pro tour tennis event to Renmark this year.
John has been a long serving member and current President of the Renmark Tintra Tennis Club and also the President of the Riverland Lawn Tennis Association. He has been the head tennis coach at Renmark for many years (since the 1990’s) and has coached children from 4 years of age to 80 years of age.
John has stepped aside from his teaching career to go into a full time volunteer administrator and coach role and is passionate about finding a way to provide tennis to suit any age and any ability. He enjoys social tennis as much as competition and has set up Wednesday night and Thursday morning social tennis in Renmark.
