Recreation and Sport Minister Leon Bignell has announced sporting clubs and organisations around South Australia will share in more than $10 million to build artificial playing surfaces and upgrade female change-room facilities.
SA Tennis Club’s to benefit from $988,000 of this funding include;
- $59,000: To upgrade and resurface 3 courts at Watervale Tennis Club
- $437,000: To redevelop existing courts and construct new courts at the Stirling Tennis Club and resurface courts at Heathfield Netball Club > Concept Site Plan Draw – Proposed New Courts 7 & 8
- $88,000: To resurface four tennis courts at the Cobdogla Tennis Club
- $73,000: To repair and upgrade 8 tennis courts at the Port Lincoln Tennis Association
- $87,000: To resurface courts 1 – 6 at the South Parklands Hockey and Tennis Centre (The Tennis Seniors Association of SA)
- $116,000: To replace a netball and tennis court at the Ungarra and Districts Community Sports Club
- $51,000: To repair and upgrade 7 tennis courts at Beaumont Tennis Club
- $65,000: To install 4 tennis and netball courts at the Orroroo Recreation Ground
- $12,000: To resurface and repair courts 1 and 2 at Hectorville Sports & Community Club Incorporated
