Riverland local Luke Saville (SA) continued his impressive start to his campaign here at the 2018 Renmark Paringa Council Men’s Tennis International with another comprehensive 6-1 6-2 win, this time over James Frawley (ACT). Saville is playing a very effective grass-court game at the moment and will look to build on this when he faces Moerani Bouzige (QLD), a qualifier, who had a strong win over fellow qualifier Patrick Harper (Qld).
Victorian Omar Jasika (Vic) kept cool in the clinches when he ended the run of South Australian Darren Polkinghorne (SA) in a tight, but straight sets win 7-6 7-6.
Tomorrow will also see top seed Marc Polmans (Vic) go head to head with fellow Victorian Omar Jasika for a semi-final berth. The final two quarterfinals have Ben Mitchell (Qld) up against Dayne Kelly (Vic) and the last international player Nicholas Hu (USA) playing Harry Bourchier (Tas).
The doubles final will also be played between Gavin van Peperzeel (Qld)/Dayne Kelly (Vic) and Jeremy Beale (Vic)/Thomas Fancutt (Qld).
Matches start at 11.00 am.
