Tennis SA is looking forward to having Melissa Dunbar of Big Fish Events Group as a special guest speaker at the Tennis SA Club Development Conference* on Sunday 29 July.
Event expert, entrepreneur, fashion designer and mentor are just some of the titles Melissa Dunbar has on her extensive resume.
A born leader, Melissa is owner and director of Big Fish Events Group, a business she started in 2004 to provide event management with marketing and communications capabilities.
Having organised events large and small – including a Royal Reception Gala Dinner for Queen Elizabeth II – Melissa is an expert commentator about event management, entrepreneurship, leadership and mentoring.
After working overseas, in places such as the UK and the US, Melissa returned home to Australia 14 years ago and, since then, has built Big Fish Events Group into one of the nation’s leading event management companies.
With offices in Adelaide and Melbourne, Melissa and her team work on projects as small as birthday parties, up to those as large as the world-renowned Santos Tour Down Under cycling event.
Despite her busy schedule, Melissa believes in giving back and informally mentors a year 12 student about graphic design and a young sound technician. She was also a judge for the 2017 Australian Institute of Management Leadership Excellence Awards.
Melissa is always focused on adding value to her clients’ businesses, thanks to her ability to take complex ideas to create powerful memories and connect brand value and commercial outcomes.
“Once you have realised that it’s all invented, you can create a place where new inventions are part of the natural order,” Melissa says.
At the Tennis SA Club Development Conference, Melissa will be delivering a sponsorship presentation tailored to tennis clubs and committee members covering topics such as;
- How clubs can be unique & stand out from everyone else
