The Drive men’s team recorded their first win for the season in a dominate display over Tea Tree Gully. The Drive’s Depth was too strong for Tea Tree Gully with Sebastian Flock beating rival young gun Tyson Devine at second single and Kiichi Ishida defeating Oliver Taylor at third single to set up the win.

Trinity Gardens continued their winning streak against Kingswood which was decided by one game. Kingswood’s Sean Van Rensburg continued his strong form winning his singles and doubles matches for the third time this season. This was not enough to beat the reigning premiers which saw Trinity Gardens move into second spot while Kingswood dropped to third.

Broadview had an impressive win over Golden Grove with Broadview’s Nikola Stakic setting his team up with victory over Brayden Doherty at Second single in three sets. After the match was three rubbers to one after the singles it was Broadview who stepped up taking out second doubles to take a four rubber to two win.

Collingrove have moved to top position on the State League ladder after defeating Glenlea by four games. Glenlea’s Josh Boots won in straight sets over Collingroves Oliver Douglas however from there it was Collingroves young guns who held strong with singles wins to Paddy Douglas and Doni Gashi followed by the Douglas brothers setting up the win in top doubles.

In the women’s competition Glenlea have registered their first win of the season when they overcame Pembroke. Pembroke’s number one Meeka Marshall fought off Tayla Whitehouse in three sets. However Glenlea’s Olivia Ley and Andrea Kristo both had wins to set up the victory. Glenlea’s Whitehouse and Ley then overcame Marshall and Tsoukalas in straight sets to clinch the win.

The Drive have continued their winning ways with a four rubbers to two win over Kingswood which keeps them in top position on the ladder. The experience and strength of The Drive shone through with singles wins to Mel Clayton, Melissa Beadman and Jasmine Adams delivering the win.

Seaside continue to show year in year out that they are contenders for the State League title after sealing their first victory after a slow start to the season, downing Denman four rubbers to two. The young Seaside team is hungry for success with Natasha Russell, Tully Richter, and Chloe Schwarz all having strong singles wins. Seaside now sit nine points behind The Drive in second place.
