Rogerio Dutra Silva (BRA) and Anna Kalinskaya (RUS) were crowned the 2019 City of Playford Tennis International Singles Champions on Sunday, following an outstanding week of tennis action at the Playford City Tennis Centre.
Tenth seed Dutra Silva defeated Germany’s Mats Moraing 6-3 6-2 in the men’s singles final, while third seed Kalinskaya overcame [6] Elena Rybakina (KAZ) 6-4 6-4 in the women’s singles final.
In the men’s doubles final, local favourite Luke Saville (Cobdogla, SA), along with Max Purcell (NSW), defeated fourth seeds Ariel Behar (URU) and Enrique Lopez Perez (ESP) 6-4 7-5.
On Saturday, the Italian pairing of Giulia Gatto-Monticone and Anastasia Grymalska claimed the women’s doubles title with a 6-2 6-3 win over Lulu Sun (SUI) and South Australia’s 17-year-old Amber Marshall.
