Friday 18 October saw the first round of the 10-and-under Green Ball State League competition be played at Millswood Tennis Centre.
This is the second season Tennis SA has delivered this competition. This season will consist of a full 13 week season and linked to our Junior State League Grand Final as well as Junior Awards night at the end of the season.
It’s exciting for junior tennis, with some of Adelaide’s best nine and 10 year olds involved. This is not only exciting for the sport but exciting for the participants as they are playing kids the same age, similar ability and on the correct modified ball, beneficial for their development.
Each team has 2-3 players and they play first to four short game sets timed at 25 minutes per match. Each match involves a top singles, a doubles and a reverse singles. At the end of each timed match the player who has won the most games in their match will win the set.
We would like to wish all clubs involved good luck as they return back to their own venues tonight or round two.
