The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing is hosting a free Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) training Sunday, 24 November 2019 from 9:30am – 1:30pm. Nominations are now open, limited spaces are available.
The MPIO’s role is to provide appropriate advice to the organisation and affiliated clubs around their Member Protection Policy when issues arise. These individuals are also responsible for providing information about a person’s rights and responsibilities and options available when making a complaint or raising a concern, as well as support during the process.
This is an excellent training opportunity for club MPIO’s, Child Safe Officers or club members with an interest to fulfill this role. Our team at Tennis SA and the Office for RSR strongly recommend that each club has at least one person performing this important role.
