By 18, 1 in 3 girls give up on sport. To reverse this, Tennis Australia and world No. 1 Ash Barty have teamed up to inspire girls across the country to play sport in a new campaign.
The campaign addresses many of the barriers girls face and the reasons they give up sport, from low self-esteem and body issues, to feeling uncomfortable wearing sports gear or not feeling athletic enough.
As an inspiring role model, Ash Barty has always succeeded by doing things her way and taking her own path. Her message to Australian girls is to stop listening to what others say and to play tennis for themselves.
