In round 4 of State League Trinity Gardens remain undefeated and at the top of the ladder after a strong 4 rubbers to 2 victory over Tea Tree Gully. Ashwin Vijayaragavan and Lawrence Bataljin started Tea Tree Gully off well both winning tight singles matches in 3 sets. However, Trinity Gardens hit back through Charles Nicholas and Scott Hughes to level the match at 2 rubbers heading into doubles. From there Trinity took control winning both doubles matches to secure the win.

The Drive consolidated second place in the ladder with a 4 rubbers to 2 win over Glenlea. Jack Schipanski gave Glenlea a great start before The Drive won the next three single rubbers with close wins from Kiichi Ishida and Patrick Luke. From there both teams won a doubles to ensure The Drive left victors.

Broadview won their second match in a row following a strong 6 rubbers to 0 win over Seacliff. Nathan Eshmade, Asykal Azhar, Corey Decandia and Martin Richards all had strong victories in their singles to put Broadview in an unassailable position. From there Broadview were able to win both doubles to wrap up their strong overall performance.

In the match of the round Coromandel Valley defeated East Adelaide Kings by a single game to capture their first victory of the season. Li Tu and Sean Van Rensburg started strong for East Adelaide winning both their matches before Sam Sanderson and Patrick Douglas brought Coromandel Valley levelling the contest at 2 rubbers a piece heading into doubles. Both sides were able to capture a doubles each with both going to a tie break, unfortunately for East Adelaide that would not be enough as Coromandel won their first match of the season by a solitary game.

In the State League Women’s competition Glenlea won their first match of the season with a strong 5 rubbers to 1 victory over Kingswood. Olivia Ley and Marie Bonnin both put in strong showings starting the day off well for Glenlea. Kingswood were able to strike back through Vittoria Peresano, however Glenlea were able to win both doubles matches to wrap up a comprehensive victory.

Denman also won their first match of the season defeating The Drive by 17 games. Alana Repanich and Skye Vandeleur gave The Drive a start both winning in singles. Denman hit back though with Jessica Glavas and Jacqui Scott both putting in strong performances to level the match heading into doubles. While The Drive captured the first doubles in a tie break, Denman were able to win comfortably in the second doubles to secure the victory.

EAP won their third match of the season defeating top of the ladder Seaside in a close match winning by 8 games. Seaside started strongly with Natasha Russell and Tully Richter before EAP fought back Juliette Robinson and Elim Yan. Heading into doubles Seaside were able to win the first via a tie break before EAP captured the second in straight sets to secure the victory.
