Congratulations to our Volunteers of the Month for October, Margaret Nash OAM and Eliza Handbury.
Margaret Nash OAM has been involved with the Seaside Tennis Club since 1975. Margaret has recently stepped down from the role of Secretary, having held the position since 1989.
Margaret also served as the club’s Junior Coordinator, a position she held for over 40 years and was the Junior Coordinator for the Western Districts Tennis Association for over 15 years.
During her time, Margaret has been responsible for organising a variety of association and club tournaments and events, always ensuring that they go off without a hitch!
While she’s been fortunate to see many talented players come and go, Margaret has also been there in the formative years of Australian tennis royalty; namely Lleyton Hewitt, Alicia Molik and Darren Cahill who all played at the club.
Margaret’s dedication and commitment to the Seaside Tennis Club is unparalleled and is truly inspirational. Congratulations Margaret!
Eliza Handbury has been involved in the Lucindale Tennis Club for over five years.
Eliza holds a variety of roles including Secretary, Junior Coordinator and ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Deliverer. Eliza is also the Junior Tennis Representative for the Southern Ports Tennis Association and is the Tournament Director for the annual Lucindale Easter Tournament.
Eliza looks after communications for the Limestone Coast Regional Academy, coordinates venues, programs and uniforms, and acts as a coordinator for the South East Foundation Cup team.
Thank you and congratulations Eliza!
