Congratulations to Edward Vo and Alex Despoja who have recently received funding from the Ken McGregor Fund (KMF).
Through the financial assistance provided by the KMF, these players will continue to grow and further develop their games at the national and international level.
Vo has had an impressive junior career, representing Australia in the World Junior Teams and Junior Davis Cup. Vo was the first player in the history of the Australian Grasscourt Championships to have won both the 12-and-under (2016) and 14-and-under titles (2018), and has also won the 14-and-under Australian Championships as part of December Showdown at Melbourne Park. He is currently the Captain of the Prince Alfred College Intercollegiate Tennis Team.
Despoja has also represented Australia in the World Junior Teams championship and the 14-and-under Australian Championships double in 2019, winning the singles and doubles titles. Despoja is currently in Queensland preparing to take part in two ITF World Tennis Tour Junior events being held in July.
“We are thrilled to congratulate Ken McGregor Fund recipients, Edward and Alex,” said Rick Baldock, Ken McGregor Fund Chairman.
“The Ken McGregor Fund is delighted to support these hardworking and committed young athletes as they pursue their dreams.
“We wish both players the best of luck for their future tennis endeavours and look forward to cheering Alex on as he competes in Queensland next month.”
