Tennis SA is proud to present the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival SA on Saturday 21 August 2021.
The Saturday Carnival will be held at the Tennis SA Clay Courts in North Adelaide and will be open for all to attend! This day will see some exhibition tennis, cultural workshops and activities, tennis SA inflatables and more.
The National Indigenous Tennis Carnival SA aims to provide further opportunities for Indigenous people to access tennis, and create sustainable playing and pathway options in consultation with First Nations people. Our vision is to ensure tennis is accessible to every person who wishes to participate across South Australia. Tennis is a sport for life that brings communities together in healthy active lifestyles and producing ever lasting friendships.
The Saturday is open for all, so come along and help us celebrate Indigenous culture and join us for a variety of fun activities, including:
- The official launch of our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan
- Tennis exhibitions
- Coaching opportunities
- Silk painting with Tjimari
- Tennis, tennis and more tennis!
- Tennis SA inflatable games
- Giveaway bags, door prizes, BBQ and more!

Please note, we will also now be running the second day of the National Indigenous Carnival Day on Thursday 2 September. This will take place at the Playford Tennis Centre and will engage with some local schools and Indigenous youth in the area to provide a day of fun, cultural awareness, and of course – tennis!
