The Tennis SA State League All Stars are set to hit the Eyre Peninsula this weekend, launching the 2021/22 Tennis SA State League season.
Tennis SA, in conjunction with the City of Port Lincoln, Port Lincoln Tennis Association and Elderton Wines, will host the brand-new event in Port Lincoln on Saturday 9 October.
The event will be officially opened and teams will be revealed when players attend An Evening with the Stars on Friday 8 October.
The community is encouraged to attend on Saturday 9 October, with a Family Fun Day set to kick off festivities at Port Lincoln Tennis Association starting at 10:00 am. The Tennis SA State League All Stars match will commence at 11:30 am and will be followed by an Open Court Session at 5:30 pm.
On Sunday 10 October, the players will split in to two groups to participate in tourism activities including swimming with the sea lions with Calypso Star Charters, an Experience Coffin Bay Oyster Farm Tour and a visit to Beer Garden Brewing for lunch.
“I am excited to be heading over to Port Lincoln as part of the Tennis SA State League All Stars,” two-time Tennis SA State League premiership player Olivia Ley said.
“It is the first time Tennis SA has done something like this and I think that it’s a really great way to promote tennis in regional South Australia.
“I hope we’re going to be able to connect with the community in Port Lincoln and show them our best tennis,” Ley continued.
