The globally renowned Rafa Nadal Tour has completed its South Australian stop at the Playford Tennis Centre this week.
The tour enables 12/u and 14/u players to play in a Premier Series event, while also learning and participating in set activities aligned with the values of the Rafa Nadal Academy including humility, resilience, commitment and sportsmanship.
Winners of both the Trophies of Values and the Tournament itself will progress to a special Masters final held next January in Melbourne.
Junior players Sarvin Dev Mahadavan and Leana Nannapaneni won the 12/u titles, while Rafael Fulmanski and Sukhi Venkatesh won the 14/u titles at the tournament.
“We are pleased to congratulate our winners of the Rafa Nadal Tour in South Australia,” Tennis SA Tournaments and Competitions Manager Emily Smith said.
“We also congratulate our Trophies of Values winners, along with all players, for their enthusiasm and effort throughout the event.”
“The Rafa Nadal Tour focuses on the four values that Rafa embodies in humility, resilience, commitment and sportsmanship,” Rafa Nadal Tour Australia Manager David Boyes said.
“Whilst we have seen some competitive matches on court during the week, it has been great to see so many players participate in the off court activities aligned with these values.
“Our sincere thanks to all involved for a wonderful week here in South Australia.”
