With sadness, the Tennis family is mourning the loss of June Raven on Thursday 6 July 2023.
June’s involvement with tennis started when she first picked up a racquet at Hope Ward Tennis Club in 1956.
An experienced volunteer administrator of the game at club, association and state level, June took on roles such as committee member, secretary, treasurer and president. She represented her club and association at South Australian Hardcourt Tennis League and Tennis SA Council meetings, and was a member of the Senior Activities and Winter Pennant committees.
June went on to become Patron and Life Member of Hope Ward Tennis Club. She was presented with a Tennis SA Service Award in 2015.
June made a significant contribution to the sport for over 65 years, with the game and those who play it always at the heart of her involvement. June will be fondly remembered by those who had the pleasure of working with her.
June will be farewelled on Tuesday 18 July 2023. Please join us as we offer our sincere condolences to Tracey and Dave, Jodie and Greg, as well as grandchildren Kimberley, Nicola and Eliza, family and friends.
