28 qualifying matches were completed on Day 1 at the City of Playford Tennis International.

The top eight seeds have all progressed to tomorrow’s final round of qualifying on the women’s side, led by top seed Talia Gibson (WA). Unfortunately, South Australians Caitlin Baker, Olivia Collins, Elim Yan, Diana Badalyan and Sarah Mildren have not made their way through to the second round.

Meanwhile, on the men’s side, Australians Pavle Marinkov (NSW), Calum Puttergill (Qld), Scott Jones (WA), Thomas Fancutt (Qld) and Jacob Bradshaw (Qld) have all progressed to the next round.

Day 2 will see the completion of men’s and women’s qualifying matches. Men’s main draw matches will also commence with South Australia’s Li Tu to begin his campaign in the fourth match on Centre Court against wildcard recipient Zach Viiala (WA), with matches from 10:00 am.
