Q: How long have you been a volunteer?

I started volunteering in 2019 performing social media tasks and further became Secretary at the Prospect Tennis Club in 2022.

Q: Tell us about your favourite part of your role.

My favourite part about my role would be seeing the club go from strength to strength. When Priscilla and I became Secretary and President, we implemented a lot of new processes, a compulsory uniform, chose to elevate events and more. Seeing everything fall into place and happen seamlessly (most of the time!) is fulfilling and exciting!

Q: Favourite Tennis memory.

My favourite tennis memories are when Priscilla and I used to play doubles together. No matter how badly or well we played, we would laugh the whole way through, make fun of each other (especially when Priscilla missed a shot and looked directly at her racquet like there was a hole in the middle?!) and egg each other on!

Anyone who would watch us play would say they heard the saying “too many Weet-Bix mate!” millions of times throughout the game when one of us would hit the ball out. We just had fun!

Q: How long have you been a volunteer?

I started as Secretary in 2018 and then became President in 2022 at the Prospect Tennis Club.

Q: Tell us about your favourite part of your role.

My favourite part about my role is the long lasting relationships I’ve built with everyone at the club. Being able to see first hand that we’re a club that people tend to stick around for a long time, it’s more than just a club to a lot of us and that is really special!

Q: Favourite Tennis memory.

The first one I can remember was being at the back of the court picking up tennis balls while my brother had his first lesson at Prospect. I was five at the time and just remember thinking that I wanted that to me be one day – it’s a very full circle moment for me!
