The State Foundation Cup returns to Berri next week. Tennis SA, in conjunction with the Berri Tennis Club, will host the event from Tuesday 8 to Friday 11 October 2024.
2024 marks the eleventh year the event has been hosted by the Berri Tennis Club with participants across 10, 12, 14 and 16/u age groups expected to take part in the four-day event.
Tennis SA is presenting a Family Fun Day on Wednesday 9 October 2024, from 10am – 2pm, the public are invited to help us celebrate the State Foundation Cup with a free community event.
The event includes:
- Colouring in station
- Tennis inflatable
- Jumpy castle
- Giant games – Jenga, connect 4 and cornhole
- Popcorn station
- Face painting station
- Airbrush tattoo station
The State Foundation Cup will see representative teams from six country regions across the state take part in both a team competition and individual tournament. Players will be accompanied by two Tennis Australia qualified coaches from within their region.
The event has a strong focus on the development pathway for junior regional players, engaging them in competitive opportunities to prepare them for their future in tennis.

As the club prepares for another exciting tournament, Cresp expressed deep gratitude for the ongoing support from players, families, and volunteers. “It’s heartwarming to see how everyone bands together, making this more than just a tournament. It’s a celebration of community, connection, and the love of tennis.”
