Day 4 matches are complete at the City of Playford Tennis International.
Action kicked off with Australian No.4 seed Tristan Schoolkate (WA) defeating fellow Aussie Moerani Bouzige (Qld) 6-1 6-2, whilst Masamichi Imaura (JPN) defeated Lucky Loser Thomas Fancutt (Qld) 6-3 6-1.
Marc Polmans (VIC) overcame Japan’s Shintaro Imai in a three-set thriller 7-6(5) 3-6 6-2 and Shintaro Mochizuki (JPN) took the win over fellow Japanese player Ryuki Matsuda 6-4 6-2.
In the women’s draw Maddison Inglis (WA) defeated Chihiro Muramatsu (JPN), whilst SA’s own Petra Hule (SA) took down Saki Imamura (JPN) to progress to the second round. Joining them are fellow Aussies Elena Micic (Vic), Melisa Ercan (Qld), and Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty (IND), Sakura Hosogi (JPN), Naho Sato (JPN) and Himeno Sakatsume (JPN).
Double’s action saw the Aussies fly with wins for Rinky Hijikata and US partner Mac Kiger, Calum Puttergill and Dane Sweeny, Tristan Schoolkate and Li Tu. And for the women’s Aussies Lizzette Cabrera and Taylah Preston, Alexandra Bozovic and Petra Hule and Destanee Aiava and Maddison Inglis all made it through.
