Ash Barty Schools Challenge

WHAT IS THE ASH BARTY SCHOOLS CHALLENGE?

The Ash Barty Schools Challenge is an exciting competition designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship among Primary School students through engaging tennis-related activities.

The competition is designed to inspire schools to embrace tennis by providing a chance to win a special visit from tennis champion Ash Barty. Schools who are signed up to the program and actively submit entries in the competition go in the draw to win this opportunity.

The challenge will begin on the 15th October and close on the 11th April 2025.

ELIGIBILITY

• Must be delivering a Tennis in Primary Schools Program (this includes both Sporting Schools (ASC) run programs and programs run outside of the Sporting Schools program)
• Must be a current or become a Tennis Partner School (more information below with how to do this)
• Target Audience – Primary Schools (including P-12 schools)

• Schools can submit multiple entries

WHAT TO DO

STEP ONE: Run a tennis class

Activities could include;

– Throwing and catching a tennis ball.

– Balancing a tennis ball with a racquet.

– Hitting targets with a tennis racquet.

– Purple Stage (Prep)

– Blue Stage (Grade 1 and 2)

– Red Stage (Grade 3 and 4)

– Orange Stage (Grade 5 and 6)

STEP TWO: Take a PHOTO or a short 30-second VIDEO showing how your students use the tennis equipment.

STEP THREE: Submit your PHOTO or a short 30-second VIDEO using the button below

IF YOU ARE NOT A PARTNER SCHOOL

STEP ONE: Submit a PHOTO or a short 30-second VIDEO to the Ash Barty Schools challenge.

STEP TWO: Send your signed Tennis in Schools Partnership Agreement Form to [email protected] before Friday 11th April 2025.

By doing this, you’ll be eligible to participate in the Ash Barty Schools Challenge.
