2013 Strathalbyn Brideson Easter Tennis Tournament

The 2013 Strathalbyn Brideson Easter Tennis Tournament was played from Easter Saturday to Easter Monday 30 March to 1 April.  110 entrants played 211 matches over the 3 days with most finals on the Monday.

Players came from all parts of South Australia and from comments made everyone appeared to enjoy the tennis and the friendly atmosphere.

The standard of tennis was high with a great display of sportsmanship from the players. There was much talent to be seen at this event amongst the juniors and seniors.

The Langrehr Perpetual Cup was presented for the second time to the Men’s Open Singles Winner Josh Boots.  As we had no entries in the Women’s Singles Open there was no winner of the  Holdfast Perpetual Trophy.  The Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Singles was run for the first time as Easter events and were won by Jake Brooks and Breanna Carroll.

The Club would also like to thank Angus Thomson our Tournament Referee with his assistant  James Fricker for once again running a successful tournament. Thanks also to Tennis SA for their support in promoting the Tournament and a special thanks to Shirley Logan and all our dedicated volunteers.

Club President Clive Rafferty presented the trophies to all successful recipients.
