Strathalbyn Junior Age Tennis Tournament

The Strathalbyn Tennis Club Inc has held its Junior Age Tournament every year for the last 35 years. This year the Club ran a Tennis SA Sanctioned Junior Tour Bronze Series National Points Tournament over three days from 1 to 3 October 2014.

Players and family members came from all parts of South Australia and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. 82 competitors played 127 matches and once again the standard of tennis was very good and played in a sportsman like manner.

The weather was cool and overcast for the start of the tournament on Wednesday, but improved the next day and was perfect on Friday for the completion of the finals.

The Club would also like to thank the Tournament Referee Angus Thomson, and his able assistants Shirley Logan and young James Fricker. Thanks also to Court Supervisor Graham Stone and all the Club’s hard working volunteers for the running of this successful tournament.

Please note our Easter Tournament is on again from Saturday, 4 April to Monday, 6 April 2015.
