Coach Ollie Hadley

Coach: Ollie Hadley

Venue: Tennis World Launceston

Ollie Hadley is a full time coach based at Tennis World Launceston. A jack of all trades, you will find Ollie on the court coaching, in the pro shop stringing racquets and behind the scenes organising tournaments. Ollie has been coaching for over five years and enjoys teaching a sport that he loves whilst seeing clients learn skills that can help them both on and off the court.

“I’m in a position where I can help people improve their tennis and further their life skills, their resilience and their patience. I teach players that it’s ok to make a mistake as long as you get back up and try again,” Ollie Hadley said.

Ollie started playing tennis at the age of 8 and went on to achieve a junior ITF ranking In the top 1000 and win the Pardey Shield twice.

“History means a lot to me and having my name on that shield alongside some big names is something I’m very proud of,” he said.

Ollie credits tennis as a game that teaches players to be patient, resilient and humble, as well as it being fun and a sport you can play for life.

He has found success in fostering a vibrant tennis community at Tennis World Launceston by tailoring his programs to best suit his client’s needs. Ollie’s advice for future coaches is to have fun and not worry about running the perfect lesson.

“If you’re having fun out there building a relationship with your players, the chances are that they are enjoying it too, which will make it easier to talk to them about anything you think could be Improved,” he said.

Outside of tennis, you can find Ollie challenging himself on the golf course, playing cricket (both indoor and outdoor) and avidly collecting Pokemon, Footy and Basketball cards. Ollie plans on furthering his coaching qualifications by completing the Club Professional coaching course next year.
