Victoria’s Lance Dugan has taken out the 2010 Tasmanian Open defeating number 1 seed Ken Ho in a tightly contested 3 set final. On a hot, sunny day at the Domain Tennis Centre Ho took the first set before fading to a 3-6 6-3 6-2 loss. It was a great end to a successful weekend for the third seeded Dugan, who despite playing through some niggling injuries was able to defeat the number 2 seed, Richard Wynwood and the number 1 seed Ho in consecutive matches.

Alyssa Hibberd took out her third Tasmanian tournament this year with a straights set victory over Victorian Bianca Horsley.  Despite a strong showing from Horsley, Hibberd was able to take the match 6-2 6-4 to her continue her successful year.

Over the weekend the Tasmanian Junior Masters was also held at the Domain Tennis Centre with record numbers and great weather seeing a very successful tournament run.
