The first Hot Shots Super 10s day was held at the Domain Tennis Centre over the weekend with almost 50 children aged 10 and under participating. The day was conducted by Tennis Tasmania’s Community Tennis Officer, Alex Jago, and National Coach Tasmania, Simon Youl with the aim of bringing together players to introduce them to a fun and friendly environment showcasing the MLC Hot Shots pathway.

“The day was a huge success for the kids, parents and coaches that were involved” said Jago, “It’s great to see kids playing with a smile on their face and the modified equipment definitely makes it more enjoyable for the players and parents can see the development of their kids too”

The day provided timed, modified matches for players in the MLC Hot Shots categories of Red, Orange and Green balls.

With the success of this program it is hoped to be a regular fixture on the Tennis Tasmania calendar. For more information on the closest MLC Hot Shots venue contact Alex Jago on 6108 8201 or [email protected]
