Tennis Tasmania supports School Sport Tasmania in the delivery of the national secondary school teams event – the Pizzey Cup. The events provide Tasmanian secondary school students the opportunity to represent Tasmania at the School Sport Australia Championships – the Pizzey Cup.

The Pizzey Cup is a prestigious national schools tennis championships open to girls and boys aged 18 years and under.  The Pizzey Cup is conducted by SSA in partnership with Tennis Australia. The national event attracts Australian Ranking points. In addition, an 18/u singles event known as the Australia Cup, is run in conjunction with the Pizzey Cup.

Tennis Tasmania selects a state representative team of 8 girls and 8 boys to compete in this annual national teams event. At the conclusion of the tournament, an All Australian team is selected, based on Pizzey Cup and Australia Cup results.

Pizzey Cup 2013 team trials: 18/u boys and girls:

Age eligibility: Tennis Tasmania requires players to be from Year 9 through Year 12 and be under 19 years of age at the end of the month the tournament finishes – May 2013).
