Wow, what a difference!
Last month Lindisfarne Tennis Club proudly unveiled a major courts-makeover at a Grand Opening on 11 January. Club members were joined by special guests including Vanessa Goodwin MLC, the Hon Lara Gidding MP and the Mayor and aldermen of Clarence Council during the ceremony to unveil the refurbished courts. The Club now has 3 Plexicushion courts and 2 synthetic grass courts.
The reconstruction has taken over 18 months, involving fundraising from various sources, deconstruction and rebuilding the Clubs’ existing courts. Funding was obtained via the National Court Rebate Scheme, Clarence City Council and a Community Sport & Recreation Grant, together with use of the Club’s own Sinking Fund.
Tennis Tasmania congratulates all at Lindisfarne Tennis Club for a fantastic effort in undertaking this great project!
