The second round of the inaugural SRT Logistics Premier League was held in ideal conditions at Glenorchy City Tennis Club, with a number of fresh faces making league debuts for their respective club-affiliated teams.
Strong performances from Edward Bourchier and Jakob Haas ensured that Domain Whisk & Co Café claimed club honours and the bragging rights over Domain Two-Folk Espresso, maintaining their unbeaten record in the process.
Geilston Bay Ace Tennis Coaching remain atop the ladder after defeating Glenorchy Stringlab, with Andrew Bourke and Nick Fader undefeated in their matches, with Bradley Dunn also pairing with Fader to claim a tight three-set doubles rubber and the result.
In the final match-up of the round, teenage trio Sam Edgar, Lachlan Browne and George Anderson combined to chalk up a victory for Geilston Bay Tassie Awards & Trophies despite a standout effort from Sunshine Main St. Financial Solutions’ Ian Wilkinson.
Sunshine Tennis Club will host Round 3 action from 1:00pm on Saturday 14 November, with the two Geilston Bay teams set to face off.
Second-placed Domain Whisk & Co will meet the third-placed
Glenorchy Stringlab, while the hosts will be looking to get off the mark when
they come up against Domain Two-Folk Espresso.
