Congratulations to Hobart junior Escher Case-Boag who had a great run at the J30 Singapore ITF Junior Championship last week. Case-Boag toughed the Singapore heat and humidity to win three matches and through a very competitive qualifying draw.

She then went on to defeat the 8th seed in first round of the main draw, and had a convincing win in the second round, getting her all the way to the Quarter Finals, where she went down to Korean player AhKyung Kim 0-6, 3-6.

Case-Boag’s solid performance was the furthest any of the Australian girls in the draw got and was the furthest any of the qualifiers got. These results reflect the hard work and many hours of training she has been doing.
