Tennis Victoria is calling all mums with an interest in tennis to take part in the Mums’ Program from 9 May – 10 June at local tennis clubs throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Run by a Tennis Australia qualified coach, the Mums’ Program is exceptional value at just $25 for five weeks of group coaching.
“The Mums’ Program allows mums to take some time out for themselves and is open to players of all standards,” said Chris Saliba, Tennis Victoria’s Community Tennis Officer who manages the program.
“As the Mums’ Program is run by qualified coaches, mums can rest easy knowing they will be in good hands to develop their tennis skills.”
In addition, the Mums’ Program provides many benefits for those participating, including:
- Improving their health, having fun and getting fit
- Exercising without having to find childcare
- Free use of equipment
- Getting a great taste of tennis and getting involved with their local tennis club for a minimal cost
Also available, if childcare is a problem, is the Tiny Tots Program*.
“We understand that finding childcare can be difficult for mums, so we also offer a Tiny Tots Program for children aged 3-5 at a cost of just $15 for the same five weeks,” said Saliba.
The Tiny Tots Programs helps children develop their fundamental motor skills such as hand-eye coordination, balance, depth perception and reflexes.
The Mums’ Program is available to new participants only and mums must be participating in the Mums’ Program for their child to participate in the Tiny Tots Program.
* The Tiny Tots Program is run subject to coach availability.
