Help shape the future of tennis in regional Victoria at Tennis Victoria’s 2011 Country Conference

If you’re passionate about country tennis, want to learn more about the development of the sport or want to have your say and help plan its future, then the 2011 Tennis Victoria Country Conference is calling for you.

This year, the annual Country Conference goes ‘open invite’ as we ask all regional club and association representatives and coaches to join key industry stakeholders and attend the full day conference at Melbourne’s AAMI Park on Wednesday 25th May from 10 am – 5 pm.

The one-day conference will feature workshops, presentations and group discussions in a revamped and interactive forum format to shape the future of tennis in regional Victoria.

Tennis Victoria’s Regional Community Tennis Officer, Adam Feiner, is encouraging all regional affiliates to be part of it.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs, coaches and association representatives to come together in the one room and speak in face-to-face, two-way communication about country tennis and how we can take it forward both on and off court the next 12 months and beyond,” said Feiner.

At the 2011 Tennis Victoria Country Conference, attendees will get to learn about trends affecting the sport of tennis, what Tennis Victoria and Tennis Australia are doing for the sport on and off the court, as well as having their say on topics such as building better places to play, junior player development pathways, club-coach relationships and more. There will also be training sessions on offer for Tennis Victoria services in tournaments and our new competition software.

“We’re putting together a great agenda with a real focus on grassroots tennis, attendees will be able to hear and learn from a range of speakers on some key topics relevant to them, and then in turn be able to contribute to the discussion and have their say,” Feiner said.

If you are interested in attending the 2011 Country Conference, you must RSVP to Adam Feiner on (03) 8420 8422 or email [email protected].
