Tennis Victoria’s inaugural Junior Development Series State Championships were recently held at Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre.
The event was run over one day in a round-robin format, designed to give all 64 participants as much tennis as possible. Players from all over Victoria were invited based on their outstanding results in Junior Development Series tournaments in the first half of 2011.
The event received positive feedback from players, parents and coaches.
“Lucia felt honoured to be invited to such a special event. It has boosted her self esteem in a wonderful way. She has learned lots about the game and the dress code,” said one parent.
Tournament Director Jonathan Wong praised all participants, parents and the venue staff for making the event memorable for all.
“It was a great day for all involved,” said Wong.
The next Junior Development State Championships will be held on Sunday 4 December.
