600 local children within Boroondara City Council had a ball playing MLC Tennis Hot Shots at the Glenferrie Road Festival on Sunday 22 April.  With the help of Tennis Victoria, SEDA students and volunteers from Hawthorn Tennis Club and Grace Park Tennis Club, each child enjoyed a hit of tennis down the tram tracks and were rewarded for their efforts with an MLC Tennis Hot Shots show bag.

Local residents interested in playing tennis were encouraged to visit getinto.tennis.com.au, Tennis Victoria’s pilot website providing easy access to playing opportunities available at clubs in Boroondara.  The tennis site at the Glenferrie Road Festival was one of three promotional sites used to promote getinto.tennis.com.au within Boroondara, also including Ashburton Community Festival and the Kew Community Festival.
