2 May 2013 | Tennis Victoria

The Tennis Victoria Future Leaders Program is returning in 2013 with applications for this course now open.

The Tennis Victoria Future Leaders Program offers year 10 or 11 students the opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills in a fun environment while offering participants the opportunity to meet and network with other students who have a similar passion for tennis and sport.

Eligible students will partake in a three day camp to be held in Anglesea this year where they will participate in MLC Tennis Hot Shots Community Play workshops, ACE program information workshops, Cardio Tennis training sessions as well as learning how they can make a difference at their tennis club.

Upon the conclusion of the camp, the Future Leaders will then return to their tennis clubs where they will fulfil 40 hours of volunteer work to be successful in completion of the program.  Previously the graduates of the Future Leaders program have made quite a difference to their club raising money at club events, assisting with club competition and tournament management, assisting with club communication methods and learning what goes in to the day to day running of a tennis club.
