A huge team effort and a fantastic day of tennis, has seen Rosswood Tennis Club take out the national 2014 Ultimate Club Challenge. There was lots of on offer for all of the local community to get involved – ANZ Hot Shots, speed serve, cardio tennis, hit the target, face painting, balloon animals, a jumping castle, prizes and raffles, a DJ and BBQ. There were local sponsors, supporters and businesses who all go involved too.
Marcel Pietrasik from Rosswood TC has said that the club was thrilled with winning the Ultimate Club Challenge and since the open day have had calls left, right and centre from people wanting to start tennis.
As the state winner of the 2014 Ultimate Club Challenge, Rosswood wins a $5000 grant for their club – and, for taking out the national prize, they also win a 2015 Australian Open experience for 8 of their members or volunteers. This includes a behind scenes guided tour of the Australian Open and seats to some great tennis action at Rod Laver Arena.
We’d love your club to run an Ultimate Club Challenge in 2015. You’ll receive a merchandise pack with giveaways and promotional items, and an array of useful resources to get you started. Register now and get involved in the wonderful summer of tennis ahead.
