“This award is a great way to recognise the outstanding season of a number of individual players,” said Tennis Victoria’s Competition Manager Jeff Downes.
“Across all grades of Pennant, there have been a number of outstanding individuals who have played consistently well all season and this is a great reward and fitting recognition for these players.”
Ramona Mataruga from Hepner Place Indoor and Matthew Hicks also from Hepner Place Indoor claimed the Women’s and Men’s Grade 1 Pennant Player of the Year award’s respectively.
The Geelong Lawn Men’s Masters 45+ Doubles team were crowned as the 2016 Kevin Howard Award winners as the best performing Men’s Masters 45+ Doubles team.
