2 December 2016 | Tennis Victoria

The 2016 School Sport Victoria ANZ Tennis Hot Shots State Final was held at the National Tennis Centre, Melbourne Park earlier this week.

The day saw six boys/mixed and four girls teams compete to be crowned the School Sport Victoria State Champions.

Throughout the school year, Primary schools across Victoria have competed in a round robin, FAST4 tennis format, to have an opportunity to be crowned the best ANZ Hot Shots tennis playing primary school in the state.

To reach the state final, teams played multiple rounds through district, divisional and regional stages, against a wide range of primary schools varying in students from grades 3 – 6.

The competition was fierce throughout the day and was played in great spirits with exceptional signs of sportsmanship on display.

Each player walked away with huge smiles on their faces from the excitement of playing at the home of the top tennis players in Australia and from making new friends throughout the day.
