Name: Mel Stojanovic
Title: Participation Leader- Metro West
Role: My role as participation leader is to support local clubs, coaches and associations to grow our sport.
Best thing about the role: The best thing about the role is being out and about meeting our volunteers and coaches, building relationships and having a small part in growing the sport.
Previous employment: My previous role was at Tennis Australia in Membership and Participation Services team.
How long have you been at TV: Almost 2 years.
What are your interests outside of TV: It sounds so cliché … travelling! I go back home to Europe every year, to visit the family. I also enjoy eating!
Favourite tennis player/sporting athlete and why: My favourite athlete would have to be Novak Djokovic. Hands down, GREATEST OF ALL TIME. Apart from being an amazing tennis player. I would have to say I love him more for what he does off the court.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where and why: My favourite place on this planet is a small village in a mountain in the south of Serbia. A close second is Prague- the architecture, the history, the culture, the people, the night life, everything about Prague is amazing. I would love to go back.
What superhero power would you like: Teleportation, I would save so much on travel costs.
What is one interesting fact about you: When I was about 8, I asked my parents if I could be in commercials (looked really fun). They took me to my first (and last) audition. I was terrible. Pretending to climb a fake ladder and decorate a fake Christmas tree was not as fun as it looked.
Very few people know about that… until now.
If you could change one thing about Melbourne, what would it be: Traffic!
