Tennis Victoria is proud to be involved with the Change Our Game campaign.
This program is aimed at bringing about cultural change and facilitating leadership opportunities and experiences for women. Influential leaders in the sport and recreation industry will be called on to assist in the delivery of the campaign’s messaging – which Tennis Victoria is delighted to be involved with.
Sport and recreation is a powerful vehicle for change and various organisations have the potential to be part of an important movement. With partners across Victoria, plus state and local government support, the significance of ‘Change Our Game’ instills an inherent want to witness the sport and recreation industry foster change for the next generation.
Change Our Game Champions are men and women working together for a common goal. CEOs from numerous organisations are integral to the success of the campaign.
Tennis Victoria CEO, Matthew Kennedy, had no hesitation putting his support behind the initiative.
“I think it is imperative Tennis Victoria is involved in this and I’m taking my role as a Change Our Game Champion very seriously,” Kennedy said.
“If we can help remove the barriers that unfortunately still exist for women to get involved in sport that is only a good thing.”
Richmond Football Club President, Peggy O’Neal, is the chair of the program and will oversee the development of three-year ‘Game Plan’ from each Champion.
Other sporting organisations adding their support include: Cricket Victoria, Netball Victoria, Gymnastics Victoria and Cycling Victoria.
