The Tennis Victoria Future Leaders program has concluded for another year and congratulated the 2018 graduating students.
The program aims to contribute thousands of hours back into the Victorian tennis community and grow the next wave of volunteers.
A graduation ceremony was held at the spiritual home of tennis, Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, with attendees able to then enjoy a day at the Kooyong Classic.
Students that fulfilled the requirements of a camp during the July school holidays and a 40-hour project at their tennis club were presented with certificates by Tennis Victoria acting CEO, Belinda Kleverlaan.
Kleverlaan believes the Future Leaders program is a perfect example of how we develop and engage the next generation of volunteers of our sport.
“The Future Leaders program has once again welcomed some outstanding students and we congratulate them on their wonderful efforts,” Kleverlaan said.
“Listening to a few of the projects and how detailed and thorough the students were in implementing their vision was quite inspiring.
“Volunteers are truly the lifeblood of the sport and it’s so valuable to have youth representation at local clubs,” she said.
