Waverley District Tennis Association are today celebrating a triumphant win at the 12/u Alicia Molik Cup over the weekend.
Hosted at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, the weekend proved a remarkable spectacle overall, with the nice weather and atmosphere key features.
Tennis Victoria Tournaments & Events Administrator, Lita Trimmings, congratulated all players on competing with good team spirit and sportsmanship.
“It was a pleasure to host nearly 80 kids over the weekend at Kooyong,” Trimmings said.
“A massive thank you to the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club and the Kooyong Foundation for supporting such a wonderful event.
“The boys and girls who competed were simply outstanding.
“Sam Groth even made a surprise appearance so that was nice for the players too.
“He is someone the young kids can aspire to be like, especially if they can serve as well as him.”
