Waverley District Tennis Association have taken out the 2020 Pat Cash Cup over the weekend.
Hosted at the Yarrawonga Lawn Tennis Club, over 190 players took part in the tournament across the four age groups – 12 years and under, 14 years and under, 16 years and under, and 18 years and under.
The round robin tournament saw six country regions and six metropolitan associations competing.
Tennis Victoria Tournaments & Events Administrator, Lita Trimmings, congratulated all players who competed across the weekend.
“It was a pleasure to host just over 190 players up in Yarrawonga,” Trimmings said.
“A massive thank you to the Yarrawonga Lawn Tennis Club, in particular Jason, Gert and Narelle, the grounds staff and the Lions Club for running the canteen.
“This event would not happen without their tireless support.
“We were fortunate to have Ian Barclay, who used to coach Pat Cash, attend and help out with the presentations.
“Overall the tournament was a success and we look forward to seeing everyone next year.”
