Tennis Victoria are welcoming expressions of interest for the Regional Teams Events Advisory Panel (RTE-AP).
The RTE-AP provides input to Tennis Victoria (TV) management for Regional Team Events, is responsible for the promotion of the events in their region and managing the selection processes and team entries for their region.
ABOUT THE REGIONAL TEAM EVENTS ADVISORY PANEL
- The RTE-AP is chaired by the TV Player Pathways Lead
- The RTE-AP comprises of 1 representative per Country tennis region and also 1 non-voting metro Association representative
- The RTE-AP will meet up to 3 times per year face to face or via teleconference.
- RTE-AP appointments will be for a 1 year period: 1 January 2021 – 31 December 2021.
- Should there be more than one nomination per region, a ballot will be conducted via email among tennis bodies within the region to appoint the region’s representative.
- This is an opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the highly successful Regional Teams Event series.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for knowledgeable and experienced personnel to assist in strengthening and improving the current events even further.
Nominees are asked to provide a short resume/bio in bullet point form addressing the points listed below:
- The position(s) held by the nominee and name of tennis club/centres/Association/Country Tennis region, the nominee has been involved in and achievements in these position(s) with specific reference (where applicable) to RTE knowledge and team management
- The nominee’s experience and skill sets in tennis competition and team administration
- What positive contributions the nominee will bring to the RTE-AP •
- The nominee’s experience/involvement on other Tennis Victoria Sub Committees and Panels etc
- The nominee’s qualifications
CRITERIA
To be considered the nominee must meet the set criteria below:
- Be an administrator, TA Coach Member or registered participant of an affiliated Tennis Club, Centre or Association within the Country Region they are nominating to represent and reside within the Country region they are nominating to represent
- Be willing to work closely with the TV Club Development Officer (CDO) to promote awareness to local clubs and coaches of the opportunity to participate
- Acknowledge the scope of the RTE role outlined in TV By-Law 8: Regional Team Events Advisory Panel, with proposed activities requiring annual approval by the TV Board
- Are able to provide a current Working with Children Check and acknowledge they will operate within Tennis Australia’s Safeguarding Children Guidelines available at tennis.com.au/childsafe
