Congratulations to Tennis Victoria President, Prof. Emma Sherry, who was nominated on behalf of Tennis Victoria for the 2020 Women in Sport Breakfast Recognition Award.

The award, presented virtually at the annual Women In Sport Breakfast on Friday 9 October, honours the outstanding contribution to increasing female participation in sport to a member of the community.

As the first female President of Tennis Victoria, Emma is a strong advocate, role model and supporter of women in leadership positions at all levels of tennis.

Emma works within the sport sector researching sport for development and social change. Her current research interests include community development through sport activities, undertaking a broad range of research projects with national and regional sport organisations in Australia and Oceania.
